Ilha do Guajirú - Water Sport

8 month a year every day wind, sunny weather, constant air temperatures of more than 30 °C and water temperature of 25 °C - it was just a question of time that wind and kite surfer explore the north east of Brazil.

After the kite boom started more and more people were looking for kite lagoons for beginning kiting or learning freestyle.

Ilha do Guajirú offers the biggest lagoon in the north east of Brazil. Approx. 4 km long and 500 m wide with several different kite spots.

The main spot you find after you entered the main road at Praia da Barra. Most of the Pousadas and restaurants are located there.

From Praia da Barra, approx. 2 km upwind, the beginning of the lagoon is called the Secret Spot. Protected by a sand bank 90° to the wind direction offers that spot extremely flat water. Similar condition you can find at the end of the lagoon called Praia de Guajirú. Besides those spots explore your own spot, the lagoon is big enough.
