Mangroves are protected plants and to remove them is a crime in Brazil. There is already an organisation who recognised the problem and informed the responsible authority, in that case the Ibama.

 

All land of Ilha do Guajirú is under special protection. All licenses to construct must bei applied from the Semace.

For the actual apartment project Mirante for example it took more than 2 years to get the licence to built. For land which is surrounded by Mangroves or for sand dunes it is almost not possible to get a licence.

If you plan to invest at Ilha do Guajirú and you do not want to end up with a worthless piece of land please involve a lawyer and an official real estate agent (Creci).
